Geomatics Engineer
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior Management to achieve company objectives
- Assist in maintaining Skeena Geomatics’ business profile and client relationships
- Assist with staff management, be a coach and mentor
- Work closely with clients and ensure that service performance exceeds expectations
- Manage projects including estimates, proposals and invoicing
- Ensure that all deliverables are checked and completed in a timely manner
- Perform field work, calculations and drafting as required
- Supervise, instruct, and lead staff in daily operations
- Actively participate and be a leader in the Skeena Geomatics health and safety program
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Must be an experienced Geomatics Engineer
- Licensed as a P.Eng., BCLS, other LS or CLS is desirable
- Diploma or degree in Geomatics and at least 5 years progressive experience
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in computer applications, MS FieldGenius, MSCad, StarNet and Civil3D
- Strong technical and organizational skills with a background in construction surveys
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract as per company policy
- Pre-employment and site-specific drug and alcohol testing may be required as this is a safety sensitive position
